What's New in Releventful - February 14th, 2024

This update is focused on new enhancements to the platform. Please see these enhancements outlined in more detail below.

DJ and Song Selection Enhancements

The DJ add-on has become the new Releventful Song Planner! These updates make song selection simpler for you and your clients. Our new DJ add-on combines all aspects of song planning and your event timeline into one simple song selection experience.

We have also incorporated song selection to be made with the addition of Apple Music! Choose whether your clients make song selections from your own uploaded music library or from Spotify and Apple Music.

Learn more about these enhancements on our website for more details.

To learn how to combine a song selection by planning form and song selection by category to-do, read the article linked below:

Releventful To-Do Timeline and Section Titles

As a part of this product update, we now have a timeline option available to you that can be created directly in the event to-dos menu of the client event portal. This option allows you to combine the overall event timeline with the song selection and to-do process. You no longer need to have these items separated into their own tabs within the event portal!

Open Positions for Employee Scheduling

You asked and we listened!

A new Open Positions feature has been added to Releventful's employee scheduling to allow you to post open shifts and have your employees request to work these open shifts. There are settings available to have the open positions automatically accepted when an employee grabs the shift, or you can review all incoming requests and assign team members accordingly.

Event Detail Fields via Form and Proposal Templates

New event detail fields have been added to both the form templates and proposal templates. Within the editor, select the "+" at the top of the page and find these fields listed under the header, "Event Detail Options."

These fields map directly to the fields on the event info tab of the event edit screen. As leads/clients populate these fields in the proposal template or planning form, and submit their information, these fields will be updated on their event details page to reflect this information.

You will not need to review the submitted information first from the proposal or planning form, as the data will be mapped directly into the fields within the event as these items are submitted.

Event Type Drop-Down List

The event type field on the event edit screen has been updated from a free text field to a drop-down list.

This enhancement is to prevent new event types from being created if entered incorrectly by Administrators. Event types can only be created via the Settings Gear > Business Setup > Event Type.

Website Lead Form Success Message

A setting is now available on the website lead form to disable the success message that appears in a pop-up after the lead form is submitted by the lead. To disable the pop-up message, select the settings gear at the top of your existing website lead form.

In the pop-up menu that appears, scroll down and toggle on the option for "Skip Success Message."

Copy Entire Portal Template

If you need to copy an entire portal template and apply it to a new event type, there is now an option to do this at the top of the portal template menu. Select the "Copy Template" button at the top of the page to copy the entire portal template, and all the established settings, and apply it to a new event type.

When the "Copy Template" button is selected, you can enter the name of the new event type to have the event type created and the exact same portal template automations applied.

Tax Customizations

You can now edit the service charge labels for your identified tax types. From the tax type menu, select the edit pencil on the labels for, Service Charge and Alcohol Service Charge to enter in a new desired label.
