Set default portal staff and employee brand access

Choose which staff are normally added to new event portals, while keeping brand access and scheduling separate.

Choose which staff are normally added to new event portals, while keeping brand access and scheduling separate.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > Event Settings > Portal Team Default.

  2. Review the default people and each available option for portal access, automatic scheduling and adding staff when booked.

  3. Save the defaults.

  4. For multi-brand accounts, review each employee's brand allocation in the employee management tools.

  5. Create a sample event for the relevant brand and check its actual portal team and schedule.

Three different decisions

Portal access lets someone use the event portal according to their permissions. Scheduling records a shift or work request. A booked-only default controls when staff are added. Do not treat these as one setting.

Existing events

Review an existing event's team separately. A new default is not proof that every older event has had its people or permissions changed.

Changes to existing teams

There are separate tools for applying or removing staff access on existing events. Review their selected booked/unbooked scope before using them. Simply changing a default is not evidence that every existing event or conversation has changed.
