Create reusable roles for the jobs staff perform at events, such as coordinator, server or lead DJ.

Steps

  1. Open Settings > Employees > Employee Roles.

  2. Add a role or open one to edit its name and pay-rate details.

  3. Choose the supported pay basis and amount, then save.

  4. Select the role when creating a shift and review the rate filled into that request.

Work roles are not account permissions

A shift role describes a job and can provide a default pay rate. It is different from the employee's account access permissions. Changing a role on a shift does not grant admin access.

Override one shift carefully

A pay-rate change made on a shift applies to that shift. Edit the saved role separately when changing the default for future scheduling, and check existing shift records rather than assuming they were all recalculated.
