After booking, review the event status, contract, payment schedule, portal tasks, and messages so the team knows the next step.
Why this matters
These documents move a client from an offer toward a confirmed event. A saved draft, sent proposal, accepted proposal, signed contract, and booked event each mean something different; check the actual status before the next step.
An event can become booked automatically based on your account's Event Booking Default, or it can be marked as booked manually.
Before you start
Open the correct event and confirm its client, prices, dates, and booking requirements.
How an event becomes booked
Releventful can automatically mark an event as booked based on your Event Booking Default. Your account can be configured to book an event based on:
Receipt of payment
A selected Sales Stage
A selected Event Status
To review this setting, go to Settings → Event Settings → Event Defaults.
You can also manually mark an event as booked. Open the Event Info tab, select Booked from the event status menu, and save your changes.
When an event becomes booked, any leads associated with the event are automatically converted to clients.
In Releventful
Open the booked event and check its Booking status.
Open Pay & Sign to check the accepted proposal, signed contract, invoice, and payment schedule. Click any incomplete item to see what remains.
Open the portal's To-Dos and Messages to check the next planning step and its due date. Edit and save an incorrect item before contacting the client.
A useful decision
Before completing this task, compare the change with a sample record of the same kind. This confirms that the client, employee, amount, or timing affected is the one you intended.
Check the result
Open the event to confirm what was saved, sent, accepted, or signed. Follow up only after checking the actual status.
Important to know
Saving a document differs from sending it. Proposal acceptance, contract signing, payment, and the event's booking rule can each start a different next step.
Your Event Booking Default determines when Releventful automatically considers an event booked. Review this setting if an event becomes booked earlier or later than expected.
