Sending Contracts for Signature

Learn how to prepare, review, and send a contract to the correct signers and track its signature status in Releventful.

Written by Naomi Sherman

Choose the contract and signers, review dates and terms, then send it for signature.

Why this matters

These documents move a client from an offer toward a confirmed event. A saved draft, sent proposal, accepted proposal, signed contract, and booked event each mean something different; check the actual status before the next step.

Before you start

Open the correct event and confirm its client, prices, dates, and booking requirements.

In Releventful

  1. Open the event's Pay & sign area and click Add Contract Template.

  2. Choose the contract template, enter the signer names and email addresses, then click Preview to check the document.

  3. Click Send to Client or Send for Signature, confirm recipients and click Send; reopen signing status to verify the request.

A useful decision

Check the signer list and the contract's status. A signature request is not complete merely because it was sent, and a missing signer can hold up the next booking step.

Check the result

Open the event to confirm what was saved, sent, accepted, or signed. Follow up only after checking the actual status.

Important to know

Saving a document differs from sending it. Proposal acceptance, contract signing, payment, and the event's booking rule can each start a different next step.
