How Contract Signing Works

Learn how contract signing works in Releventful, including how to track each signer’s status, resend signature requests, and confirm when all required signatures are complete.

Written by Naomi Sherman

Track signature status from the event. A draft or sent contract is different from one all required people have signed.

Why this matters

These documents move a client from an offer toward a confirmed event. A saved draft, sent proposal, accepted proposal, signed contract, and booked event each mean something different; check the actual status before the next step.

Before you start

Open the correct event and confirm its client, prices, dates, and booking requirements.

In Releventful

  1. Open the contract from the event's Pay & sign area.

  2. Read the signing status for each required person; if an address is wrong, correct it in Edit Contract and click Save Changes.

  3. Use the resend action only for an outstanding signer, then reopen status; continue booking after the required signatures are complete.

How to make the most of this step

Sending a contract creates a signature request for the listed signers. The contract is complete only when its required signature conditions have been met. Open the signing status to see who has signed and who remains; check email addresses before resending. A signed contract and a booked event can still depend on separate business rules.

A useful decision

Check the signer list and the contract's status. A signature request is not complete merely because it was sent, and a missing signer can hold up the next booking step.

Check the result

Open the event to confirm what was saved, sent, accepted, or signed. Follow up only after checking the actual status.

Important to know

Saving a document differs from sending it. Proposal acceptance, contract signing, payment, and the event's booking rule can each start a different next step.
