Creating Contract Templates

Learn how to create reusable contract templates with your terms and signer details, then preview them before sending contracts to clients.

Written by Naomi Sherman

Create a reusable contract with the right terms and placeholders. Preview it with an event before using it for signatures.

Why this matters

These documents move a client from an offer toward a confirmed event. A saved draft, sent proposal, accepted proposal, signed contract, and booked event each mean something different; check the actual status before the next step.

Before you start

Open the correct event and confirm its client, prices, dates, and booking requirements.

In Releventful

  1. Click Billing & Sales > Manage Contract Templates and click Add Contract Template.

  2. Enter reusable terms and signer placeholders, then click Save.

  3. Add that template to a sample event and click Preview; return to the template to correct missing names, dates or terms before sending.

A useful decision

Check the signer list and the contract's status. A signature request is not complete merely because it was sent, and a missing signer can hold up the next booking step.

Check the result

Open the event to confirm what was saved, sent, accepted, or signed. Follow up only after checking the actual status.

Important to know

Saving a document differs from sending it. Proposal acceptance, contract signing, payment, and the event's booking rule can each start a different next step.
