Automating the Booking Process

Learn how to automate your booking process by connecting proposals, contracts, invoices, and payments into a streamlined client workflow.

Connect proposal, contract, invoice, and payment steps in the order your business uses. Preview the sequence before enabling it.

Why this matters

These documents move a client from an offer toward a confirmed event. A saved draft, sent proposal, accepted proposal, signed contract, and booked event each mean something different; check the actual status before the next step.

Before you start

Open the correct event and confirm its client, prices, dates, and booking requirements.

In Releventful

  1. Click Automations & Operations > Manage Portal Templates, choose the event type and click Edit workflow > Draft changes.

  2. Add or edit proposal, contract and payment items in their intended order; open each timeline card to check recipient, trigger and timing.

  3. Click Save draft, Review saved draft, Try the client portal and Review event impact, then publish the approved settings.

A useful decision

The event type's booking rule represents what your business considers confirmed. Test the rule with a sample event and check what client planning work begins after the status changes.

Check the result

Open the event to confirm what was saved, sent, accepted, or signed. Follow up only after checking the actual status.

Important to know

Saving a document differs from sending it. Proposal acceptance, contract signing, payment, and the event's booking rule can each start a different next step.
