FAQ: How Does Releventful's Messaging Platform Work?

Releventful's messaging capabilities are dynamic and allow you to contact both leads and clients through available automations, and through manually created touchpoints. Learn more about Releventful's communication platform in the article linked below:

The content below addresses common FAQ's that you may have around Releventful's messaging capabilities.

How do I send a one off email to a lead?

To directly message a lead, you can contact them via the sales campaign tile on their lead card. To do this, follow the steps outlined below:

1. Locate the lead on the sales pipeline.

2. Click on their lead card and select "Edit" > "Edit Lead."

3. In the menu that appears from the right-hand side, select the "Sales Campaigns" tile (as shown in the image below).

4. On the new page that appears, select the "+ Add" button in the upper right-hand corner.

5. Select "Add Email" from the drop-down list that appears.

ℹ️ Note: The lead's associated event will appear under the event field. The lead will need to have an event associated to their account in order to contact them through this method.

6. If you have an existing email template that you would like to utilize, select the "Choose Saved Email" button. Or, create an email from scratch with the "Create from Scratch" option.

7. In the new pop-up page that appears, you can choose to notify the lead via email or SMS if you have the SMS add-on option. Configure the rest of your message with the available fields and settings on this pop-up display.

8. Select "Schedule" at the bottom of the window to setup/send your message to the identified lead.

What happens if a lead responds to a sales campaign email?

If a lead responds to a sales campaign message through email or SMS text, their response will appear in your Releventful message inbox which can be found via the inbox icon in the left-hand navigation bar. The response will also appear in the messages tab of their event portal.

If your email notifications are enabled, you will receive notifications in the following ways:

  • You will receive this response as a notification directly in your external email inbox and can reply directly to the email, or within Releventful by clicking the "Reply" button.

  • If you have the Releventful mobile app installed on your phone, you will receive an in-app notification on your phone and can reply directly via the app.

Replying to a response via any of these methods will automatically email your client if you chose to email them, or send them an SMS reply back if you have chosen the SMS option. All other contacts that have been added to the portal will also be automatically notified of any responses via email.

Is Releventful a replacement for my email marketing tools (for example: Mailchimp)?

Releventful handles transactional marketing efforts that involves an individual expressing interest in your services and following them through booking and the managing their event. With transactional marketing, you can setup email or SMS sales campaigns to aid in increasing your bookings and to reduce manual follow-up and sales efforts through Releventful's automations.
