What's New in Releventful - May 11, 2023

This update is focused on new enhancements to the invoicing process for things like additional VAT Tax support, improved QuickBooks syncing capabilities, and payment status to let you know when a payment is "Processing" but awaiting confirmation from Stripe.

We've added an entirely new section to address VAT Tax, giving you the options to enable VAT and choose whether VAT should be shown as inclusive or exclusive. To visit your VAT Tax settings

Previously, a custom tax field that was created by a user would display as part of Other Taxes in Releventful Reports. So we added (6) new Custom Tax fields that can now be individually displayed and analyzed from within your Releventful Reports. These are currently displaying as Custom Tax 1, Custom Tax 2, etc. and can be renamed to meet your needs. However, no additional custom fields can be added to Tax Types.

ℹ️ Note: If you have previously created a custom tax field, you will still see this displayed in your account. We would recommend migrating this to the new Custom Tax 1 field and deleting the old tax type. (Settings --> Business Setup --> Tax Setup)

We've added some new features to our QuickBooks integration that will allow you to link your packages and add-ons to a specific QuickBooks Product / Service. Simply select the package or add-on you wish to link, and scroll down below the Tax Type to edit the Product / Service field. You'll then be able to type to search your QuickBooks account for your pre-determined Product / Service categories.

Previously our QuickBook sync would create a record for the Releventful Invoice and corresponding Payments made. Now, our QuickBooks sync will send each individual line item of the invoice and will categorize it according to the appropriate Product / Service if you've completed the step above.

ℹ️ Note: These settings will only display if you have connected your QuickBooks online account from within your Releventful Account (Settings --> Integrations --> QuickBooks setup)

Now all non-credit card related charges will be marked as "Processing" until Stripe verifies the charge was successful.

ℹ️ Note: Stripe offers two methods for verifying your customer's bank details for ACH payments. The first is through instant verification, and the second is through micro-transactions. If your customer does not wish to use “instant verification” they will be prompted to verify using the micro-transactions, which can cause a delay in processing until the bank has been verified.
