Creating a Contract

There is no limit to the number of contracts you can create in Releventful.

To create a contract

  1. Click on Templates (see icon above) in the side navigation, then choose Contract Templates.

  2. Click Add Contract

I have an existing contract, what do I do?

Have Text?

If you have an existing contract you can paste the contract text into the contract editor.

Have HTML?

If you have a HTML code for your contract that you would like to use

Click on the More misc. menu button in the contract editor, then click on the Code View button.

ℹ️ Note: if you use MailChimp or other email platforms to craft your emails, please do not use the HTML generated by them in Releventful. Emails generated by other platforms have resources created for and intended to be used by their platform. We want to be a good neighbor to our email friends out there.

Replace Standard Text with Tokens

Tokens are used to automatically replace standard text, like the client first and last name, with the information stored in the event.

Using the Token Manager

To find and use tokens for your contract

  1. Click the Token Manager button (shown above)

  2. Use the search bar to find the token you need or click on any section to open it

  3. Once you find the token you’re looking for, click the Add button next to the token to insert it into your template.

Adding an E-Signature to your Contract

To add an E-Signature area for your client to sign the contract, add the E-Signature token.

To add the E-Signature token

  1. Open the Token Manager

  2. Click on Contract to open the Contract section

  3. Click on the action button next to E-Signature

ℹ️ Note: the E-Signature token is required if you would like your client to sign the contract.

ℹ️ Important Note: The signature token has to be added to the contract template directly from the token manager. The signature token cannot be copied and pasted or hand written into the template. Ensure that you add the token from the token manager so that the initials are captured properly.

Require Your Client to Initial a Section of the Contract

To require your client to initial a section of your contract, add the Initials token next to the section that requires initials.

To add the Initials token

  1. Open the Token Manager

  2. Click on Contract to open the Contract section

  3. Click on the action button next to Initials

ℹ️ Important Note: The initials token has to be added to the contract template directly from the token manager. The initials token cannot be copied and pasted or hand written into the template. Ensure that you add the token from the token manager so that the initials are captured properly.
