Practice the visitor journey before anyone sees Rae on your website. Approval and publishing are separate steps; installation adds the published chat to the pages you choose.
Practice without creating records
Open Settings → Rae AI → Sales guidance & rules and resume the setup draft. In the setup sidebar, click Try Rae. Ask questions a visitor would ask about pricing, capacity, policies, and availability.
Try a suitable inquiry, one that needs team review, and one that does not fit. Use Start over between scenarios. Check that Rae’s answer comes from the right business facts and that it offers the next step you chose.
If an answer needs correction, open Sources → inspect or correct in the practice reply, edit the topic or setting, and click Save my progress. Run the same question again. Practice sends nothing, creates no lead or appointment, and uses no Rae credits.
Approve and publish
Click Save and review. On Final review, click Load saved setup for review if needed. Read the greeting, websites, business knowledge, requirements, availability settings, messages, and team actions for the saved version.
Click Continue to approval, then Approve and continue. This approves the saved knowledge and guidance; it does not put chat on your website.
Click Continue to publishing. Confirm the approved version and click Confirm and publish. This makes the chat available on its Releventful-hosted page and on allowed websites with the install code. Publishing a new version replaces the current chat for that brand and ends its existing visitor sessions.
Test the live result and add it to your site
Under Published chat configuration, click Try live chat. Complete a controlled inquiry on the Releventful-hosted page. Unlike practice, this creates real records and follows normal usage rules. Check Rae Inbox for the conversation, any inquiry approval, linked lead, appointment, and follow-up actions.
When the live result is correct, click Copy install code. Give the code to the person who manages your website and ask them to paste it once before the closing </body> tag on an allowed website. The Websites and optional Pages entries in your setup control where it may appear.
Open the actual website page as a visitor. Confirm the greeting, brand, and chat placement; complete one controlled inquiry and check its result in Rae Inbox. If chat does not appear, compare the exact website address and page path in your published setup, including www and non-www.
Change or stop a published chat
Return to Settings → Rae AI → Sales guidance & rules and click Resume editing. Make the change, click Save and review, approve the new saved version, then click Confirm and publish. The live chat keeps using the earlier published version until you publish again. To remove it, open Published chat configuration and click Stop website chat; the existing conversation history remains available to the team.
