Set Up Rae Website Chat

Learn how to set up Rae Website Chat by choosing your chat goal, adding approved business information, configuring inquiry forms, and customizing lead qualification rules, availability checks, and follow-up actions.

Written by Naomi Sherman

Start with the result you want: an event inquiry or a booked tour or consultation. Rae prepares a starting setup, then you confirm the business facts and rules it may use with visitors.

Before you start

Have the correct website address, event types, inquiry form questions, sales owner, and current business facts ready. If your account has more than one brand, decide which brand this chat serves. The owner or administrator needs access to Rae AI settings and AI Sales Assist.

Create the working draft

  1. In Releventful, open Settings. Under Account & preferences, click Rae AI. Click Features & access, turn on Use AI Sales Assist if available, then click Save preferences.

  2. Click Sales guidance & rules. Under Your setup draft, click Open setup draft or Resume editing. If you have more than one brand, choose it in Rae settings for and save your progress before switching brands.

  3. In Choose your goal, select Send an event inquiry or Book tours or consultations. Click Continue. The choice sets up a starting path; it does not publish chat.

  4. In Business information, click Help with business facts if you want the guided questions, or click Write a knowledge topic. Enter a Topic and Business facts, and choose Sales conversations under Where Rae may use this topic. Add a separate topic for each service, price, restriction, or policy. Click Continue or Save my progress.

Add information from a website or document

  1. In Business information, open Learn from your website. Enter the full public webpage address and click Find website pages. Select relevant pages, then click Read selected pages.

  2. Review each suggested topic, especially prices, capacities, and policies. Select Include this reviewed topic for facts Rae may share, then click Add reviewed topics to draft or Replace website topics in draft. This replaces only earlier draft topics imported from that website.

  3. For a brochure or policy file, open Prepare a document for review, select a TXT, DOCX, or text-based PDF, and click Prepare document. Review and correct Business facts to add, then click Add reviewed text to draft. A file name or source link alone does not teach Rae its contents.

Confirm the inquiry path

  1. In Confirm the essentials, choose the accepted event types and any guest limits. Turn off Ask visitors for an indoor or outdoor preference if it does not fit your venue. Open Greeting, appearance and website placement to enter the Chat title and Welcome message, choose the Brand color and Position, and list the full HTTPS Websites where chat is allowed. Add Pages only if chat should appear on selected pages.

  2. In the inquiry form area, click Create my standard inquiry form for the fastest start. To reuse a form, click Select an existing form and choose it under Lead form for chat. To make a custom form, click Build a new form with Rae, enter Form name and What should Rae ask visitors?, click Create questions with Rae, review Additional questions, then click Create and select this form. Name and email are required; answers already given in chat carry forward.

  3. If you want Rae to help with later lead replies, open Continue the conversation with leads and select permitted sales stages. This is separate from website chat. Choosing stages alone does not start or send follow-up replies; a sales campaign must be configured for that.

Set the rules and next steps

  1. Open Requirements, availability and team actions and click Change settings. Under Which events count as a qualified lead, describe a good fit and add any event, guest, budget, or other requirements. Use team review for exceptions or answers Rae cannot confirm.

  2. Under Voice and handover, choose Rae’s tone and enter the exact message to use when your team is needed. Under When Rae should stop, add any additional stop phrases or situations that require a person.

  3. Under Availability and appointments, turn on only the date, room, or package checks you use. Select the rooms or packages visitors may check and choose what Rae should say if a check finds a conflict. A check never reserves a date, room, or inventory. If your goal is an appointment, complete the separate booking steps in the next article.

  4. Under Success, credits and next steps, review the definition of a successful lead and the one-credit charge for each completed success. Choose the outcome messages, whether the chat stays open after submission, and any stage, status, internal To-Do, or in-app alert actions. Read the effect of each choice: stage and status changes can start existing workflows. Check the acknowledgment of success pricing when you agree.

  5. Click Save my progress to keep working, or Save and review to inspect the saved version. Neither button publishes chat or sends a visitor message.
