How Releventful supports DJs with song planning and playlists

Learn how Releventful helps DJs collect client song choices, manage music preferences, and build organized event playlists in one place.

Plan the music with the client

DJs need more than a general event questionnaire. They may ask for songs tied to specific moments, collect Must Play and Do Not Play lists, and prepare a usable event playlist. Releventful's DJ tools support that song-planning process within the event.

Choose the source and experience

A business can upload its own song library and choose whether clients select from that list or supported outside music sources. Song-selection categories and a planning form can be combined in a client To-Do. The team can set due dates, allowed songs, suggestions, and client permissions, then review what appears in the client's song-planning view.

Keep the specialist guidance

The DJ add-on has a detailed existing Help Center collection covering library uploads, categories, song-selection To-Dos, playlists, guest suggestions, and live song selection in the mobile app. Those guides and tutorials remain important even as general onboarding becomes simpler.

A good first step

Create a test event and one song-selection To-Do. Check the category names, attached planning form, selected music source, and resulting playlist as both a team member and client before using it for a live event.

Try this in Releventful

  1. Navigate to Dashboard

  2. Click New Event, top bar

  3. Enter event details

  4. Click Save

  5. Open Event Menu

  6. Click To-Dos/Tasks, under Event Sections

  7. Click + Add

  8. Choose Add Song Selection

  9. Click on the newly created To-Do

  10. Click Edit To-Do

  11. Review the Assigned To and Due Date

  12. Click Save, top left

You can add the appropriate categories or form under Song Selection Settings or Questions & Form.

Click Preview To-Do as Guest to test the client view, then open the event's Playlist to check saved song choices.
