Import a song list so clients can choose from the music your business offers.
Steps
Open Settings > DJ Settings > Song Import.
Open the current Song List Format Requirements before preparing the file.
Prepare an actual .XLS or .XLSX spreadsheet. Put the field names in the first row of the first worksheet; the importer identifies columns by their header names.
Select the file and choose Upload.
Review the import result and any rejected rows, then check a few songs in the Song Manager.
Prepare the columns
Use headers Artist, Song, Album, Genre, Decade, Custom1, Custom2 and Custom3. The importer also recognizes Category. It matches header names without regard to letter case or surrounding spaces; it does not require one fixed column order. Include an Artist and Song for each song row, and review the import result. Do not use an inventory layout.
If an export is not a real Excel file
Some systems give a text file an Excel extension. Open it in a spreadsheet application and save it as a valid workbook. Investigate format/security warnings rather than automatically approving them.
After importing
Choose your business song library in the relevant To-Do/form settings if clients should use it. Importing the library alone does not change every event's selection source.
