Filtering Reports

Learn how to filter reports to focus on the records and data you need, then clear or adjust filters to compare broader results.

Written by Naomi Sherman

Apply filters for the records you need and clear them when comparing a broader view.

Why this matters

A report answers a business question only when its date range, brand, filters, and measure are clear. Open the records behind an unexpected number before sharing or acting on it.

Before you start

Choose the date range and brand that match the question, and check your report access.

In Releventful

  1. Open the report and click + Add Filter.

  2. Choose the field, condition and value in the filter dialog, then click Save.

  3. Check the changed record count or total; clear the filter when you need the full view.

A useful decision

Save a custom report when you want to reuse a particular set of filters and columns. Before exporting, confirm the date range, brand, and whether private client information belongs in the file.

Check the result

Open a source record when a figure is surprising. Save or export only after confirming the scope.

Important to know

Filters change which records appear. Revenue, invoice value, and money received may answer different questions even when their totals look similar.
