Getting Started with Reports

Learn how to choose and run the right report, apply date and brand filters, and review the underlying records to understand your results.

Written by Naomi Sherman

Start with the report that answers your business question, then choose the date and brand. Check the visible filters before reading totals.

Why this matters

A report answers a business question only when its date range, brand, filters, and measure are clear. Open the records behind an unexpected number before sharing or acting on it.

Before you start

Choose the date range and brand that match the question, and check your report access.

In Releventful

  1. Click Reports and select the report that answers your question.

  2. Set the date range and business brand, then apply any needed filter.

  3. Click a row or card to open a source lead, event or invoice; click Download only if you need to share a copy.

A useful decision

Before completing this task, compare the change with a sample record of the same kind. This confirms that the client, employee, amount, or timing affected is the one you intended.

Check the result

Open a source record when a figure is surprising. Save or export only after confirming the scope.

Important to know

Filters change which records appear. Revenue, invoice value, and money received may answer different questions even when their totals look similar.
