Managing Employee Notification and Communication Preferences

Learn how to manage employee notification preferences so team members receive the alerts and communications relevant to their responsibilities.

Written by Naomi Sherman

Set the employee's email, text, and in-app communication preferences. Verify that alerts for their duties reach them.

Why this matters

Roles, brand access, event assignments, and notification choices work together. Review each of them so employees can do their jobs without seeing unrelated business or client information.

Before you start

You may need an owner or administrator role to change employee access or account-level preferences.

Default Notification Preferences

  1. Click Settings

  2. Click Employee

  3. Click Manage Employees

  4. Select the employee from your team

  5. Navigate to Notifications, towards the bottom

  6. Select Notify or Do Not Notify for each Releventful feature

  7. Click Save Notifications

A useful decision

An employee needs the relevant record access and the matching notification preference to receive some alerts. Check both before treating a missing alert as a delivery problem.

Check the result

Check the person's access and notifications from their role. Review their event assignments separately.

Important to know

A role, brand assignment, and event assignment can each limit access. A missing alert may also be caused by the employee's communication preferences.

Customize which Releventful notifications you receive by email and within the Releventful app.

Notification preferences are personal to each user. Changing your preferences does not change the notification settings for other team members on your account.

Event Notifications

You can turn off notifications for specific events by clicking on the Event Details action on the right side of the event portal, clicking Email Preferences and changing the selected value to No.
