Customizing Employee Permissions

Learn how to customize employee permissions so each team member has the appropriate level of access to Releventful features.

Written by Naomi Sherman

Adjust a permission for the work the employee needs, such as viewing, editing, or managing a feature. Test the result with a similar role.

Why this matters

Roles, brand access, event assignments, and notification choices work together. Review each of them so employees can do their jobs without seeing unrelated business or client information.

Before you start

You may need an owner or administrator role to change employee access or account-level preferences.

In Releventful

  1. Click Settings

  2. Click Employees

  3. Click Manage Employees

  4. Select the person from your team

  5. Navigate to Feature Permissions

  6. Expand the feature group and select the appropriate permissions

  7. Click Save Draft or Apply Permissions

Reopen Feature Permissions to confirm the saved choice and have the employee test and confirm.

A useful decision

Access may depend on the role, the selected business brand, and an event assignment. Test the intended task with a representative employee account before broadening permissions.

Check the result

Check the person's access and notifications from their role. Review their event assignments separately.

Important to know

A role, brand assignment, and event assignment can each limit access. A missing alert may also be caused by the employee's communication preferences.
