This update is focused on new enhancements to the platform. In this update, we have included a new TaxJar integration to assist with unique tax rates for various event and venue locations. Also included in this update is the added currency of the Polish Zloty for our clients in Poland.

TaxJar Integration

A new TaxJar integration option has been added to Releventful. This integration option is available to you for calculating taxes on your invoices. With this feature, you can now allow for specific tax rates to be pulled into Releventful for your package and add-on offerings as provided by TaxJar for the various rates across physical locations.

This feature is designed primarily for mobile companies that travel to various locations to conduct business services. Instead of applying your own tax rates as set up in Releventful, the new integration will allow you to calculate tax rates based on specific locations where events are taking place as set by TaxJar.

Follow the steps below to turn the TaxJar feature on for your account:

When enabling this feature, you will see a pop-up appear asking you if you would like to adjust your TaxJar setting for all your Package and Add-On Templates to match the setting on this page.

Select “yes,” if you would like TaxJar to be used for the calculated tax rate for all packages and add-ons added to invoices. If you selected “yes” in the pop-up window, all of your existing packages and add-ons will now have Tax Jar enabled.

With this product enhancement, you will now see the TaxJar setting within the settings menu of your package and add-ons. For example, navigate to your packages by selecting the “templates” icon in the left-hand navigation bar and selecting “package templates.” Open one of your existing packages from the list that appears.

You will now see the TaxJar feature underneath the package description with the label, “Use TaxJar Rate.” To enable or disable the TaxJar rate for this package, toggle this setting on or off.

Please note that if you want the TaxJar tax rate to be used for fees included inside of a package, you will need to go into the packages and turn TaxJar ON for those fees. To do this, select the “fees” tab at the top of a package and edit the fee applied to the package in the list that appears.

In the pop-up window containing the fee details, select the toggle here for “use TaxJar rate” if you need the rate applied to the fee and save your changes.

If TaxJar is OFF for any packages, add-ons, or fees, Releventful's tax engine will be used for calculating tax. Please refer to existing tax articles & tutorials for properly setting up tax calculations within Releventful.

If you have some items that you do not want to use TaxJar for, the TaxJar rate setting can be adjusted in the packages, package fees, and add-ons as needed. Additionally, the TaxJar setting can be adjusted inside of every line item included with your invoice to turn it on or off as needed.

Once your TaxJar settings are in place for your packages and add-ons, you can see them appear on your invoices based on the location of a particular event. It is important that the location of your event is correct so that the TaxJar integration can apply the correct tax rate.

Polish Zloty Currency

Polish Zloty currency support has been added in the November 13th update. You will see the new currency symbol and the country added in the payment preferences.
