What is an Event Status?
An event status is a custom field that you may apply to your event (either manually or automatically) and allows you to categorize and color-code the event so that you can easily view the status from the Business Calendar, Sales Pipeline, and Reporting area. You can also kick off automations based on event status changes.
For example, let's say you want to trigger an email to the client once they've completed a tour of your venue. You can create an event status called "Tour Complete" and schedule an email and/or To-Do to begin once that event status is applied.
Creating Your Event Statuses
You can create your Event Status options by navigating to your Account Settings --> Business Setup --> Event Status.
From there, choose to "Edit" if a status is already listed and you wish to modify it:
or "Add" to create a new status:
From here you can Remove, Save, or Cancel the edits.
Choose both the Status Color and Text Color (you must select white if you desire a white Status Color).
Using Your Event Statuses
You can apply an event status by using Invoice Helpers, by manually setting the status from within the Edit Event screen, and by triggering automations from within your Portal Templates.
The key to remember is that Event Statuses are meant to aid your business workflows. Use them if they're helpful.
