Delete an invoice carefully

Use invoice deletion only when you intend to remove the document and its related records. It is not a way to refund a client.

Written by Releventful Support

Use invoice deletion only when you intend to remove the document and its related records. It is not a way to refund a client.

Steps

  1. Open the invoice and confirm the client, event and document name.

  2. Preserve the records your business needs, including signed agreements, payment history and accounting information.

  3. Open Options > Delete Invoice.

  4. Read the confirmation and proceed only if deletion is the correct action.

Important financial effects

There is no self-service undo. The deletion flow can remove associated records and can affect a connected accounting invoice. Refund-history protections or permissions may block the action. Do not try to bypass a block by deleting payment records.

Deleting the document does not mean the payment processor returned money or cancelled a bank/card transaction. Use the supported refund process and verify its status separately. If you are unsure, ask the team before deleting.
