Create and manage a sales campaign

Build a consistent series of follow-up messages, then decide when it should run and how it should respond to a lead reply.

Build a consistent series of follow-up messages, then decide when it should run and how it should respond to a lead reply.

Steps

  1. Open Automations and the sales campaign manager.

  2. Select Add Sales Campaign. Choose an available sample, a blank campaign or the AI campaign option.

  3. Name the campaign and choose the event types it is intended for.

  4. Add each message and review its sender, wording, email/SMS choice and recipients.

  5. Set the timing from the correct starting point and review the behavior when a lead replies.

  6. Save the campaign and deliberately choose whether to enable it for matching leads or start it for an individual lead.

Choose the right timing

Automation Start Date means the date/time the campaign is started for that lead. Event start/end or another available trigger has a different meaning. A message set to send immediately can become due as soon as the campaign starts.

Reply handling

Review the campaign's reply setting and any message-level Send only if the lead has not replied option. These are different from simply leaving a campaign enabled. Check the lead's scheduled messages when changing an active follow-up.

Before enabling

Use sample data to test the content and timing. AI-generated wording needs review. SMS depends on account availability and valid recipient details. Enabling or starting a campaign can result in real client messages.

Action after a reply

Use Action after a reply to choose whether a reply stops the campaign series or moves the lead to the configured sales stage. The message-level Send only if the lead has not replied option is separate. Review the actual messages on the lead after changing a campaign.
