Prepare a scheduled client update with the right recipient and timing. Review it in a draft before changing the live event workflow.
Prepare the message
Open Automations > Manage Portal Templates, select the event type and choose Edit workflow. Create or open a draft.
Select Add workflow, choose Client message, then select Build manually and add it to the draft.
Enter the title or subject and message. Review recipients and sender in Open full editor. Select the supported message type where offered.
Set the workflow starting condition. In Delivery schedule, review the starting point, before/on/after choice, days and time of day.
Review attachments, placeholders and the workflow and notification enabled settings.
Select Save draft, then Test the portal to check the saved experience.
Select Review saved draft, then Review event impact. Read the proposed changes and confirmation before publishing.
Check the recipient
A client message and a team message serve different audiences. Keep staff-only information out of client content and check the contact who will receive it.
The original editor
Select the event type, then open Advanced settings > Step 3 and the edit pencil beside Edit Portal Automations. Open the appropriate client or team message workflow. Review Notification Schedule and recipient settings before saving. These edits save live; they are not Studio draft changes.
Saving a draft does not make it live. Publishing an enabled workflow can create tasks or send real messages when its conditions are met. Review existing events separately; do not assume every event will receive the change.
