Reporting on Revenue

Learn how to use revenue reports to track booked sales, invoice values, and payments across events, brands, and time periods.

Written by Naomi Sherman

Use revenue reports to review sold amounts by event, brand, or period. Check invoice and payment timing before interpreting cash flow.

Why this matters

A report answers a business question only when its date range, brand, filters, and measure are clear. Open the records behind an unexpected number before sharing or acting on it.

Before you start

Choose the date range and brand that match the question, and check your report access.

In Releventful

  1. Click Reports and open the revenue or sales report for the required period and brand.

  2. Read the measure shown, such as booked sales, invoiced value or money received.

  3. Click an underlying event, invoice or payment to explain an unexpected figure before exporting the report.

A useful decision

Separate booked sales, invoice value, tax, and money actually received. They answer different questions; a payment may also be processing or deposited on another date.

Check the result

Open a source record when a figure is surprising. Save or export only after confirming the scope.

Important to know

Filters change which records appear. Revenue, invoice value, and money received may answer different questions even when their totals look similar.
