Understand Stripe bank-account verification

A Stripe ACH payment may need bank verification before it can move through payment processing.

A Stripe ACH payment may need bank verification before it can move through payment processing.

Two verification paths

Depending on the bank and Stripe's current options, a client may be able to verify through a bank connection or through small test deposits. Not every bank or attempt supports instant verification.

If the payment is waiting

  1. Open the matching payment and transaction in Stripe.

  2. Check whether verification is still needed or the payment has moved to processing.

  3. Have the client complete the bank-verification instructions provided for that attempt.

  4. If the status is unclear, ask the team to help trace the transaction before creating another charge.

Verification is not settlement

Verifying a bank account does not mean the payment has been paid or deposited. Releventful cannot skip a bank's verification requirement. Follow the instructions and status for the actual attempt rather than relying on a fixed completion time.

Current Stripe instructions

Use Stripe's bank-verification guidance for the verification options and instructions on the actual attempt. Do not assume every integration uses the same verification screen.
