Process a Payment on Your Client's Behalf

Process a payment for your client via the quick-close invoice screen.

If your client has provided you with a credit card number or bank details and they would like you to process their payment on their behalf, you can do this for them via their existing invoice in Releventful. The steps outlined below will walk you through how to process a payment for your client if they prefer to not complete this process on their own via the invoice.

1. Navigate to the event edit screen for the event.

2. Select the "Invoices" tab at the top of the page.

3. Select the hyperlink on the "Invoices" page to open the existing invoice.

4. Select "Preview" in the upper right-hand corner of the quick-close invoice screen.

5. Select the "Invoice" tab at the top of the preview page that appears.

ℹ️ Note: If the contract is enabled for the invoice and the contract has not been signed, toggle the contract view off for the time being. You cannot access the invoice if the contract is enabled in the workflow but hasn't been signed yet. To toggle off the contract, select the "Show Contract" toggle back on the quick-close invoice screen. The contract can be reenabled when you have completed processing the payment.

6. Locate the blue payment button(s) at the bottom of the invoice page (as shown in the screenshot below).

7. Select the blue button for the payment that needs to be processed.

8. Select "Credit Card" or "ACH/Bank Draft" in the pop-up window that appears.

9. Enter the payment details to authorize and process a payment on your client's behalf.
