In this tutorial, we will be reviewing the sales pipeline and how to manage your leads and events through the various stages of the pipeline. To locate the pipeline, navigate to the sales pipeline icon in the left-hand navigation bar. This is the icon with the vertical bars.

On the sales pipeline dashboard, you will see 5 columns. These are categorized as your sales stages. From left to right you have “Qualified, Negotiating, Proposal Sent, Closed - Won and Closed - Lost”. By default your leads will appear under the “qualified” stage when they are generated in the system, unless another setting has been chosen under the website lead settings. We will review the initial sales stage setting later in this tutorial.

The sales pipeline is intended to be a landing page for you to manage your leads and book of business. You can easily drag and drop leads into any of the stages on the pipeline to update their placement in the sales process. There is the option to set up portal automations based on the stages of the pipeline. For example, you can have certain emails and actions fire at different stages of the sales pipeline.

You might want to send planning forms and book follow-up appointments when a lead falls into the “Closed - Won” stage.

Or you might want to send a calendar appointment request to a client when their lead is dropped into the “negotiating” sales stage. For more information on these types of automations, please refer to our portal templates tutorial at help.releventful.com.

Select the filter in the upper right-hand corner of the page to apply different filter views to the sales pipeline.

Use the search bar at the top of the page to search for specific leads in the pipeline. The search results will bring up ALL matches for the search keyword, even if a filter has been applied to the pipeline view.

To view additional details about a lead, click on the lead card tile. When selected, you will see a quick overview of the pipeline details for this lead. To jump to the event portal, select the “view portal” option, or to edit the details of the lead or event, select the edit drop down button.

You cannot add additional stages to the sales pipeline, but you can rename the existing stages to be more customized to your business workflows. To rename any of the stages, navigate to the settings gear in the left hand navigation bar, expand the “sales settings” menu and select “sales stages” from the menu that appears. Select the edit pencil next to one of the stages you would like to rename and enter in the desired title.

To determine which stage a new lead land on the pipeline, navigate to the “website lead” menu underneath “website forms”. Scroll down to the initial sales stage setting. Here you will see the initial sales stage that the lead will land on when it is newly created. If you want to change the initial stage, select another option from the drop down menu.

We hope that this tutorial is helpful in understanding the sales pipeline. For more information and additional tutorials, please visit help.releventful.com.
