Review whether the client has agreed to automatic payment collection and which scheduled payments it covers before enabling it.
Why this matters
The event invoice brings together what the client owes, what was requested, and what was received. Review the balance and provider result before changing a schedule, recording a payment, or promising a refund.
Before you start
Open the correct event and invoice. Confirm the existing balance and any recorded payments.
In Releventful
Open the invoice's Auto-Pay settings and check the client's authorization and eligible method.
Choose the future installments that authorization covers, then click Save.
Reopen the payment schedule to confirm charge dates; after each date, check the provider result.
How to make the most of this step
Auto-pay depends on the client authorizing an eligible payment method. Check the enrollment choice and the dates of future payments before promising automatic collection. A future automatic charge is different from a reminder asking the client to pay. Verify the provider result after the due date.
A useful decision
A manually recorded payment updates an invoice record but does not charge a card. Auto-pay requires an eligible authorized payment method; a reminder asks for action instead of collecting money.
Check the result
Review the updated invoice, payment schedule, and client balance. Confirm live payment or refund results with the provider.
Important to know
Editing an invoice record is different from collecting or returning money. Confirm online payment or refund results with the configured provider.
