After changing an invoice, review the unpaid payment requests so the remaining amounts agree with what the client should pay.
Review the current invoice first
Open the correct event and invoice.
Review its new total, amounts already paid and remaining balance.
Open Payments and compare each unpaid request with the intended payment schedule.
Recalculate unpaid scheduled payments
Where a payment schedule applies, select Recalculate Payment Schedule and review the confirmation. This recalculates supported unpaid scheduled amounts using the current invoice balance and schedule rules. It does not charge a payment, change paid payments or move due dates.
Fixed amounts, percentages, deposits, manual requests and a remaining-balance payment can behave differently. In schedules that use a remaining-balance payment, a change can be reflected there while existing installment amounts remain unchanged. Do not assume every request will be redistributed evenly.
Check the result before contacting the client
Review all unpaid amounts and due dates, then preview the client payment view. If the expected amount still does not appear, identify the specific payment and how it should be calculated before changing it.
A manually entered payment without a saved schedule may need an individual correction. Changing a reusable schedule does not automatically change every existing invoice. Review each invoice separately.
